First Post! Basics and Today's Adventure at BloodSource!

Hey! I felt left out with all my friends making blogs so here I am!

Yay, first post ever. Anyway!
Let's get the basics.
  • Hilary Hogge.
  • 18 years old.
  • Attending BYU-Idaho this fall.

Yes. That is me. I'm on the Fall/Spring track at Brigham Young University-Idaho. For those of you confused this means I will be at school from September to December, come home, then go back April to July. Wonderful eh? I get to miss the worst of winter. I will be rooming with the coolest person ever - aka Hailey Arlene Busath - in our cozy little apartment at Nauvoo House. I am overly excited but that's okay right? - I'm a freshman. =]

BloodSource

Today was my first time donating blood. Exciting right? Well I thought so. I mainly went because I wanted to know my blood type, which I found out you don't learn right away anyway. Boo. Anyway! I did "beautifully", as the nurses said, with the donating process. It helps not to be afraid of needles which thankfully includes me. But I guess I got up too quickly because all I remember is waking up on the floor with a nurse repeating my name. HA HA. Yes. Hilary Hogge fainted. For those of you that have fainted, it seems like a big deal right? While everyone else who has not experienced it doesn't think anything of it. Then you feel stupid for thinking it's a big deal (those of us that have experienced it) and interesting to talk about. Anyway! An hour of embarrassment later I left BloodSource and went home. Thankfully my dear mom is a very good sympathizer and gave the reaction I needed while my youngest brother had a laughing fit. All in all. It was a lovely and interesting experience. And will not be keeping me from going and donating again.
